A post to let you all know the Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedication will take place on Sunday, August 23rd.
The First Presidency has requested that all block meetings be canceled for that day, and that all members attend one of the dedicatory sessions in place of their normal block meetings.
These sessions will be broadcast at our stake, and according to the General Church Calendar (accessed from lds.org), will occur at 9:00 am, noon, and 3:00 pm. Because the 1st Presidency has stressed the importance of attendance by making the effort of canceling all block meetings, our Stake Presidency wants to make sure that every member of our stake (8 yrs. and older) will be able to attend.
If you are in need of a babysitter please let Angie Gurney know and we can arrange something. But please be willing to babysit if your children need to be babysat. I am thinking I will just switch you off at each others homes. Please let me know soon so that I can figure it all out right away.
