April Book Club

For the month of April we will be reading Loves Music, Loves to Dance by Mary Higgins Clark.

Erin Kelley and Darcy Scott move to the city to pursue their careers. Erin is a promising jewelry designer, Darcy finds success as a decorator. On a lark, Darcy persuades Erin to help their TV producer friend research the kinds of people who place personal ads. It seems like innocent fun... until Erin disappears. Erin's body is found on an abandoned Manhattan pier - on one foot is her own shoe, on the other, a high-heeled dancing slipper. Soon after, startling communiques from the killer reveal that Erin is not the first victim of this "dancing shoe murderer," and, if the killer has his way, she won't be his last.

I've read all of Mary Higgins Clark's books but that was a while ago. I have really enjoyed most of her books and this is one that stuck out in my mind. You can reserve this book through the public libraries (they have 5 copies), or you can get it on Amazon for as little as $4.00 (including shipping), or you can get a new copy at WalMart (300 W. 1300 S.) for $6.00 in a display near the automotive section. I have a copy from the library so if anyone wants to borrow it just let me know. Please see the announcements to the right for the date and time of our next bookclub meeting.

SERVICE AUCTION

We had so much fun and were able to Auction off all kinds of services from Hair bows & Manicures, to Dinner for two & Baby sitting.

Every one seemed to be enjoying the dinner that we had, chicken Pasta with Caesar Salad and Cheesy Bread Sticks. We had loads of dessert too.

Thanks to my husband Cameron Bailey assisted by Angie Gurney and Ashley Snow, who did a magnificent job at Auctioning off all our Services.

We hope that you all enjoyed yourselves and some of the Pics taken from the night. For all who did not attend we missed you all and hope you make it to our next activity!

Last but not least Thank you to all of you amazing husbands who helped Babysit for the sisters, so they could come and enjoy being at the Auction.

See Ashley Snow for the Winners list for the Auctions!
